Greetings everyone,

I have been riding for several years. My brother just stepped up from a small bike (50cc) to a larger bike. He was riding home late a few weeks ago and he laid his bike down. HERE is where it gets confusing for me. He said that he hit a railroad track and when the bike hit the deck, he said the bike hit on one side and then bounced up and hit on the other side. Has anyone ever hit a slippery patch and damaged BOTH sides of the bike? I haven't and the story makes no sense. I need some advice and maybe another rider to help explain this to me. Last I checked, gravity doesn't allow a 300 pound object at speed to slam and do 180 degrees to the other side.

No, he's probably right. he low sided (wheels slide out in front of the bike). The bike then hit another set of tracks, and the tires stopped. Result is the bike then flips up and over ( a high side), just with him already off it.
Likely it was at least a pair of tracks for this to work... possibly more. You need something for the tires to catch.

It does sound odd MarverickX84 but when my friend was in a motorcycle accident it damaged both sides. He laid the bike down in a curve (on the left side) & then it slid into a 4" concrete curb which then flipped it over (to the right side). Soooo...it sounds odd but who knows....or then again maybe he's just lying to you? ha ha!! (just kidding)

Yes, it is possible. Sometimes a bike get damaged from both sides due to shock of the hit, the bike bounce and get hit also from other side.
