V STAR 1100 after market exhaust

I recently installed Vance & Hines classic II slip ons on my 2008 v star 1100 custom. I had a cobra jet kit installed also. There is a popping out of the rear cylinder(top pipe) whenever I let off throttle without pulling in clutch.It sounds like backfiring but its only the one cylinder. A friend of mine said he thinks it can be adjusted through the carb. Any Ideas ?

Did you upgrade the Air Filter as well?
