I love my new Stratoliner but the wind buffeting at speeds over 50mph is giving me a real headache.  Does anyone have a recommendation on a set of lowers and how effective they are on this bike.  I’ve read about Buck’s lowers  - do they really work?

Straty, I've read on other forums regarding the V Star 1100 and 1300 that lowers really help, so I would assume the same logic would hold here.

Good luck finding what works for you. Ride safe, watch out for cagers on cell phones, and thank The Man Upstairs for every safe ride.

CruiserBruiser, thanks for the info (and words of wisdom).  I'll give them a try.

Years ago, for my 800 Drifter, I contacted Moxy's lowers. He's a small fabricator, but, if you are near, he may be willing to fabricate for the V-star (if he thinks he can sell more... he's in business after all).
Here's his website:

I was very pleased with what I got. Inexpensive, and effective.

Thank you all for the feedback.

Wow…. I just put Buck's lowers on my Statoliner and for first time I was able to truly enjoy riding my bike (my helmet stopped shaking!).   They have made an unbelievable difference!!    I can’t wait to take my next ride!  Buck, thank you very much for providing such a terrific product!

Shipping was fast and the installation was simple – Workmanship is all top notch.

If you own a Statoliner with a windshield don’t ride another day without Buck’s lowers.  They make your riding a much more enjoyable experience.

Also, I also put on Buck’s oil filter protector – besides protecting the oil filter and associated lines, it cleans-up the look of the front-end.  Overall, the bike looks great and is much more fun to ride
