Oil Pump Clatter

I have a 2000 Fatboy, and it appears that there is a little clatter coming from the oil pump. I have good pressure, but fear there might be worse issues with the oil pump. Question....Do the 2000 Soft Tails have a known Oil Pump problem? My thoughts are that the cams are nylon (plastic) and have worn, and therefore I'm not getting proper oiling. Any insight would be appreciated.
