2003 Roadstar speedo & fuel guage

Sometimes when I turn on ignition the speedometer and fuel guage dont work. If I turn ignition off and back on again it will then work. Sometimes just the speedo working and not the fuel guage. Anyone else had this problem??? Maybe new ignition switch????

It's probably not the ignition switch, they only run 1 wire thru it (positive). You woundn't want all the current from the starter running thru the ignition.
I'd check in the fuse box. They tend to have relays to power up the circuits. Sounds like at least 1 is flaky. Usually, the relays are permanent. I had to replace the junction box on my Kawi. Cost me $100 for the part... not too bad in motorcycle terms.
