Everything I read says there are three drain plugs that must be removed to completely drain the oil out of my Stratoliner.  I have located the two on the left side of the engine.  There is supposed to be another one on the right side but I can't find it to save my life.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks John

John, I hear ya bud. I'm doing the same thing on my '07 and just called Pete's Cycle here. The guys said there are 2 bolts, on the lower side of the engine case. however, my oil tank still has oil in it. I think the tank drain plug is on the other side of the engine, to the rear, near the spring of the shock assembly. Whereas the 2 engine drain plugs are horizontal, this other "drain plug" sits at about a 45 degree angle towards the back. This position also kinda matches the B&W picture that is in the service book that I have. It also says (oil tank) in parenthesis, whereas the other 2 bolts list (engine oil) for those pictures. I'm not sure, but I think THAT is the 3rd plug they're talking about. If anyone else can shed some light, please do. Thanks!

John, confirmation! The 1st two bolts are on the lower left side of the engine case. The 3rd bolt is on the right side, between the suspension spring and the frame, and is angled down and back at about a 45 degree angle. Once I loosened and removed this bolt, my oil tank emptied. I was able to remove this bolt and drain my oil tank while the bike was on its side stand. The height is just enough for one of those round black automotive oil pans with the side spout. Good luck!
