IgnintBull, welcome! Good choice of bike! (Of course, I ride an 1100 also, so what else would I say?)

At the International Motorcycle Show last year I sat on every Harley they had on display and there are at least one-third that I would not touch either because their computer-built seats didn't match my human-built butt or, in one case (can't remember which model, maybe the Crossbones) I slide forward and my boys were more than a little situated in close quarters.

Only drawback to the 1100 that I see is a design problem that you have to remove the pipes to change the oil filter or get a filter relo kit (DollarRider.com has the best price I've seen for those). You might consider getting one and putting it on when you change the pipes, knock that out at one time.

What kind of pipes you getting? The guy I bought my bike from installed Shogun Ripsaws and took the baffles out. It's about as loud as I want, and I've gotten great feedback from others that Bruiser sounds great.

Good luck getting your bike the way you want it. Ride safe, watch out for cagers in cell phones, and thank The Man Upstairs for every safe ride.

Thanks Cruiser...

I don't know for sure yet, I have toyed with the idea of some Cobras, but want to explore options. I had heard about that oil filter issue- didn't know if there was a work-around, so I'm DEFINITELY gonna look into that. Chicago cops don't like loud, so I want to make sure I grab their attention on my way through (live on the skirts) But I have time for that. Wanna make sure i'm comfy before I poot on the cops LOL

I noticed that when I was at HD, I felt "crowded"... I thought it was just me LOL

Sounds good to me. If you look at my pic on the previous page, I ride a V-Star 1300 Tourer. It's one amazing bike!

Caveman, yes I noticed...I like the 1300 a lot, but the Stratoliner S or Warrior more!

Iggy, good luck on averting Chitown's finest!
