I researched the unit from Audiovox, and it is specifically designed for use on cars. You need to locate a product that is designed and proven to work on a motorcycle. These units have to tie into several systems on the bike (brakes, clutch, throttle, etc) that car units do not. I agree an electronic cruise control is more useful than the "so called" mechanical units which are just a throttle lock. I found this manufacturer of motorcycle cruis controls, though they do not, as yet, have an model for your application. I would recommend e-mailing or calling them to coax them along to produce said unit. http://www.mccruise.com/index.html YFLYSOLO

There are lots of instructions for installing it on other bikes, I am attempting to install the Rostra Cruise Control on my V STAR 950, biggest issue I have is the VSS Signal. I don't know how may Pulses per mile the 950 speed sensor is putting out. I have tried many settings on the control unit, it will not even engage at speeds above 45MPH when set for 16000 PPM. It does when set to 38600 PPM but still does not seem right. I may try a magnetic pickup sensor. I think the Rostra is a better choice than the Audiovox because from what I have read it sealed better for protection. The Rostra also does not use vacuum.
