Hope someone can help,
Ive got an '83 V65 Magna Mileage unknown. Ive owned it for several years and put 11,000 trouble free miles on it. Last weekend I fired it up for a ride, it fired right up, normal 60 sec warm up then started idling down the alley as usual, got a few hundred yards and the engine started stumbling, coughing ect and stalled within 20-30 sec, wouldn't restart so I pushed it home and started looking. Had spark -weak though- no fuel.Field tested the relay according to the clymer manual and it tested bad, bypassed the relay and the fuel pump works.I installed a a new relay bike still not getting fuel???. In the meantime I found a thread that said to bypass the relay and start the bike, tried that, bike wouldn't start??? has fuel that way and spark- still looks weak though. The 12 volt power source that triggers the relay comes from one of the ignition modules, boy do I hate coincidences. Do I have a faulty ignition system -that could also affect the fuel pump relay. Any idea's

First thing I would check is your secondary fuel tank. The one on the side that has the fuel shut of in it.These things have a tendency to plug with all sorts of crap from in the tank and if the bike has been sitting a while it would be a good idea to drain and clean both tanks and install a new fuel filter.
