I sat on a fury and noticed all that is shine is not chrome.
There's so much plastic on these things it shocked me.
I turned the handle bars and the front fender shook like jello.

It had some metal, but the welds weren't ground well. What do think about these cheep plastic choppers?

The plastic does = no rust, cheep fix, but I'm not sure about this...

I had a Kawi Drifter, and replacement plastic fenders were about $400. The Indian had metal fenders, and replacements were over $900.

I suspect it was to pull the price down to that magic 13k. When you're riding, nobody can tell it's plastic

A few months ago when I was looking for a cruiser type bike I was looking at the Fury.  It has a "WOW" factor as you walk up to it but I only needed about a minute to sit on it to know that I am not looking for that much of a chopper.   The plastics weren't all that much of a deal breaker but knowing how many other bikes I would be around I didn't want to put up with all the "thats plastic too?" questions.

Funny thing is my sportbike is mostly plastic and it never bothered me.  I guess its just different on a cruiser/chopper.

I split the difference bettwen sport/cruiser and got a Raider and have not been dissapointed yet.

I saw one over the weekend. I'm not sure I'd want to own it, but, it looks very nice.
My grandfather told me that every staircase has a flaw, and the builder always sees it.
The fury is like that. If I go looking for the flaws, I'll see them. Most people won't.

According to Motorcycle Cruiser's sister pub, Motorcyclist, the Fury also has a 99 mph governor...why? They compared it to a Big Dog and ended the article calling it a Furby...nuf said?!?

I think the Fury is what happens when Corporate Japan tries to imitate the heart of the American motorcyclist.

Ride safe, watch out for cagers on cell phones, and thank The Man Upstairs for every safe ride.

I read that same article. Actually the only article that was remotely negative? So the Fury beats out the 35,000 big dog in every aspect other then the Horsepower of the bike? and a governor! Do you really need to ride over 99mph? on a chopper or cruiser?? I rarely go over 100 on my cruiser and anyway the governor is nothing that a power commander can't override!!!!!! Geez come on now!

True enough, My 800 Drifter would have run out of steam somewhere around 100-105. I never got it over 90. But that was when I was in the right hand lane trying not to be squashed by rush hour traffic on 495 (the Boston one). I think the Drifter would be more stable at those speeds than a chopper.
My new bike has a governor (like the Fury). I think it kicks in around 132-7 mph. I still haven't gone over 90.
