Enjoy yourself. I rode the FJR1300 at the Thunder Beach demo rides last week. I may have to give up riding cruisers after 35 years :-)

Yeah , good opportunity . Demo Trucks offer a good way to get a feel for the bikes and see if they are a fit or a pass. I just tried out a few at the Victory demo truck at my local dealer. Now, I need to try out the V-Max.

well... I wouldn't say they are a *good* way to get a feel for the bike, but they're better than just sitting on it in the showroom.
By my experience, demo ride routes are carefully chosen to minimise any opportunity for inadequately skilled riders to hurt the product or themselves. That also makes it hard to get much of an idea how the suspension handles poor surfaces or anything else about the bike other than smooth, straight line riding.

Sloowpoke - From that perspective you describe, I would agree ,, but my experience is quite different . That the Yamaha demo truck last year at Star Days had a couple of different routes picked out that had sweeps ,curves turns and some highway that put the bike through its paces and really gave an opportunity to get the feel .
Another was the Victory demo truck last month was equally robust , but did spent a little more time on the highway though.
Maybe it depends on the Demo Wrangler you draw . But , either way its waaay better than just settling for a gander at the showroom floor.
