So I had a Harley 883L - correction, still have - that I thought I loved. Problem was that I was always a little unsure on the thing so riding it was kept to a minimal. Then a few broken bones unrelated to the bike caused me to be off of it for almost 2 years, and now, back on it is iffy to say the least. Talk about nervous.
SOOOO - convinced hubby I needed a bike more suited for ME and ended up with a Suzi s40 (no s50's in stock.) Plus the one I bought was considered used with a whooping 1.2 miles on it so I got this 2009 for a steal at $3700. Yeh I was pretty happy about that.
And after 2 years of fear of the roads, I am once again out there, having a blast! WOW is this a different ride from the Sporty! The only problem is aftermarket accessories are practically nonexistent for the S40. Hasn't anyone ever heard of forward controls?? And why is it impossible to find a solo seat for my new baby?? Can anyone hook me up?? Please????
Oh, and if you want to buy a used but really badazz 2005 Sporty, email me. I can hook ya up real quick!

My wife started on a Savage (older s40), and it is a confidence building bike. Low center of gravity, manuverable, and it got over 60mpg. It's a great bike, but, since everybody considers it a "starter" bike, there aren't many parts out there.
I did find one place on the web that seems to have a fair selection, don't know anything about them other than they came up on the search http://www.chromeworld.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.catalog&categoryID=186
If you truly want a solo seat, check out this website: http://www.heathers-leathers.com/ He does custom work, I've seen some his seats on Drifters in person. I don't know how much it would cost, but, the call is basically free, and he could tell you what can be done.
