I'm contemplating touring bikes that offer Reverse Drive.

Is Reverse worth having for the extra bucks?

Thanks, Vince.

I don't use it all the time, but, it lets you easily back out of gravel while you're pointing downhill. If your bike gets over 800 lbs, you've got to do a lot of leg extensions with high weight to move the bike on anything other than perfectly flat.
If you're looking at touring, you've got to consider, the weight of the bike, the rider, and the gear. It's all got to be moved. Passenger... not so much, you can tell them to get off for a minute.

Well, zoom fwd to today. I bought the 09 Victory Vision Touring Premium and had reverse installed.  Works like a dream and makes a huge difference when trying to backup that big rig.     Vince.
