Recently Myself and a few coworkers and friends upgraded to Geyser Glides (touring Bikes) We all have harleys, they bought some accessories to install on their bikes and considering my past experience as a mechanic/machinist I am called upon to install, said items, they both bought chrome trim ring kits for thier bikes even bought me a set for mine but mine has polished stainless rings with look fine and I don't want to "cluter" up my bike with too much bling ,if you will, they on the other hand have black stock rings on their bikes which do indeed "need" a little you know any way to the question the kit includes a small strip of 2face 3m tape like material that the instructions say to cut into little strips and adhere to the gauges outer ring and then press the chrome rings on to the gauges ,its very difficult to manipulate the tape and I feel it doesn't provide enough adhesive qualities to remain on the bike considering the vibrations and so forth, I am wondering if anyone tried epoxy or any other type adhesives ,there may be need to remove these rings if the ever have to service anything behind the fairing inner shroud, thanks, george
