Your trike kit manual will tell you what the minimum safe pressures are for riding. If you're no longer using the tires supplied with the kit, you need to look at the tire manufacturers graphs on temperature, speed, load and pressure to determine what the safe minimum pressure will be, for the tires you are using. The tires have marked on them what the maximum safe pressure is. The lower the pressure, the more the tires can absorb bumps without transferring the impacts to the suspension, so the ride seems smoother. The higher the pressure, the longer the tires will last.

What pressure you decide to use will be your personal compromise between ride comfort and tire longevity.

regards,
Joe
