I'm a 22 year old male in university. I have owned a suzuki 750 GSXR for 6 years now but in the last few months ive developed a bit of a back arthritis so the constant leaning forward is a bit uncomfortable so I'm converting over to Cruisers. only problem is I don't have a clue about what is good. I've checked out many forums and visited company websites but I can't get a good read on what I'm looking for... I'm 6'2 210 lbs so i can't have a bike too small. I've looked at the 2007 suzuki Boulevard M-50 limited ed. mainly because i think it looks cool, but I figured I would ask people who have been riding cruisers more than I what is a good bike to go with.
This is what I want in a bike: - style and "cool" look - good acceleration - I have a budget of about 6-7 k but would prefer to spend less - comfortable ride
Pls help me

I'd suggest looking at Star (Yamaha) cruisers; specifically the V Star 1300 or V Star 950. I own a 1300 Tourer (2008) that I paid just over $10,000 for in August 2008. The non-tourer version runs about $1,100 less. You may be able to find a left over model within your budget. The bike has around 80 hp and is liquid cooled and belt driven. It has great acceleration and can cruise forever at highway speeds. Styling is very "Harley" like, but without the price. Fit and finish is excellent as well (a Yamaha trait). I've not ridden a 950, but the styling is similar to the 1300 for a lesser price. You can see a review on this web site. Hope this helps.

for the handling and good power that you would be looking for after riding astreetbike, look for a good used kawasaki Mean Streak. use to own one sold mine last year and traded for a Victory Kingpin. You can probaly pick up a clean one 2-3 years old with less than 10k miles for the 7k range. Looks good, handles well, great brakes, great styling look at some reviews in this magazine and you will see it was always a favorite.....good luck

I ride a '95 Yamaha XV750 Virago and it's fine for me. If I were buying a new bike I would get a V-Star 950, a really nice looking bike. If you need to go used I would look for a V-Star 1100, another good looking and fine riding cruiser.
