Any suggestions for what type or name brand highway, engine, or crash bar for a 99 yamaha royal star blvd. It has windshield and lowers. Do I need to worry about the bar hitting the lowers? Thanks  

I just put a highway /crash bar on my 2001 Yamaha vstar 1100.  It also has a windshield and lowers.  I used the Yamaha factory bar.   I did have some clearance issues with the lowers, but I really like the look of the bar.  I adjusted the lowers a bit and did have to use a die grinder on them to get it perfect.
