Hello, Im new to the forum, I want to buy a cruiser, a suzuki m50 or c50 its what I would like. I live in a small town with rural roads, dirt roads and some trails, streets and highways of course. I dont want to speed. I dont like dual purpose, they are too tall for me and I dont like the dirt bike look. Can I use a motorcycle like this on this kind of roads? Thank you, this is a great forum it has been very helpful.

I've ridden dirt roads with an occasional foray off the road, on cruisers before, but I avoid it whenever possible. Street tires don't work very well on a shifting surface and a cruiser's suspension is way too short for bumps that get any worse than simple washboarding at the stopsigns, but if you go slow enough you can take it places an ordinary car can not reach. Keep in mind, the front end is not designed for that kind of use and will be easily damaged.
regards, Joe

living in North Arkansas I have dealt with many miles of dirt road, I never had a problem of course you must ride much slower and try to pick the best line to avoid problem areas

HI; I have a C50T. I have to ride on dirt roads to get to the brother inlaws farm. I don't run 60 but I do 45-50 and have no trouble with the handling of the bike. I use to race on dirt way back when. The bike runs and handles fine. It has a heavy feel when you start to slow down. Just take it easy and you'll be fine. When I get back I have to wash the bike it is very dirty.. You will like the m50 or the c50 they are very much the same bike just different chrome and saddle. Have fun and ride safe...scruffy
