I'm getting ready to buy a CF MOTO V3 in California.
I like the BIGGER gas tank on the V5, but am going for the styling of the V3.
What kind of TIPS or info can you give me?
They say it will be 3 to 4 weeks and want a $500 deposit.
Any SUGGESTIONS?
How much do you think I should pay (before tax and license)?
What is MAX mpg AND mph for the V3?
Do they really have PLASTIC foot rests?
Dealer told me V3 has EFI (electronic fuel injection). Is that right?
Thanks for your help!

I have been doing some research as well into this model. I have ridden two different V5s and found them satisfactory for the price.
The top speed is quite dependent on riding conditions and weight of the rider(s) (I had my wife on the back the second time). Since we have a differential GPS, I checked indicated against actual and found it 5 mph off at 55. Apparently, this is common with many bikes. The max speed I was able to achieve was 65 indicated, and it was working to maintain that (remember actual would be less). This could have been a function of my weight – 225lbs.
From all I can tell, it is not a bad bike for the money. I would have bought one by now, but the price jumped $500 (for the Q-Link version), and I am not sure I want to pay that much for it.
Anyway, since I have such limited knowledge on the product, I would suggest you checkout Scootdawg's site: http://www.scootdawg.com/page45
BTW, unless they have changed their design for 2009, all of these bikes are carbureted.
