I just wanted to tell you folks how much I appreciate your magazine.  I have been riding bikes and reading bike mags for quite a long time now, and I think yours is the best.

I especially appreciate your bike reviews.  They are clear, remarkably unbiased, and filled with meaningful information.  Your magazine provides a reader the kind of information needed to help make an informed decision.

I was recently in the market for a new bike, so I went out and bought all the mags with reviews on the bikes in which I was interested.  I also dug out all my old issues, and searched the internet for information.

I was amazed at how much misinformation your competitors published. My favorite, was the mag that criticized a belt-driven bike's shaft drive.

Many times, it was unclear whether the tester was referring to bike "A", "B", "C".  Or if the comment was a criticism, praise, or merely an observation.

Then I read your magazine, and it was immediately  apparant which bike would best suit me.  I went out and bought that bike, and I could not be happier!

My only complaint, is, "Why in Hell did I spend the money and time on the other mags, when all I had to do, was read yours?"

Seriously folks, keep up the good work - we need you.

Steve:

Thank you for the glowing words.  But, uh, what did you end up buying?

Thanks,

Is anybody else getting these threats?  I received mail today with "Collections Center" on the envelope.  I open it to read;

"Last Chance;  After repeated invoices we have not heard from you (that's because I'm not re subscribing).  We will be turning your account over to our Collection Center. To avoid being penalized, you must send your payment by 09/10/09.

Don't let $14.95 impact your credit. Send amount Due TODAY.

Sincerely,

J. Chandler
for Motorcycle Cruiser"

WTF?  I decide not to re subscribe.  This must be their Gustapo tactic to scare people into re subscribing.  If they were sending me magazines without first getting payment then that's their problem as I never re subscribed.  What a slap in the face.  No way in hell I would ever deal with these thugs again.

I got the same from Rider magazine last year, after I sent back a invoice marked cancel. After getting 2 such notices, I called Rider. The woman I spoke to apologized for the notices and said she would delete my name and address. I didn't get any further notices.
