Hi all. My C50 finally made it to the UK and I took it to the local road approval office in order to get my UK number plate. The bike failed on 1 single item. All US made bikes have one single source of light at the front (in my case H4 bulb). In Europe and therefore the UK, there is one small additional 5w bulb we call "side-light" that shines white light just in case the big one fails. I need to add one 5 watt bulb/housing somewhere at the front that should be fed from the speedo lighting system. I have looked around for suitable light devices that would fit just ahead of the radiator, right under the existing main beam but got nowhere with that. Anybody able to recommend such a unit which of course would have to look smart, unobstruisive. The man tells me that size is not important and that a $2.00 coin size light system would suffice. Help, comments and recommendations are appreciated.

Well I’ve got my answer. Went to the scrap yard and found a neat little unit 12mm in diameter and 25mm long (bulb holder of a sidelight of a car). I will drill a 14mm hole in the main beam parabola, insert this small unit in a rubber grummet of the correct size and feed the 5w bulb from the main beam light +ve. This is of little importance to you guys in the US but European members might appreciate the advice.

Wouldn't a Light Bar help out with the extra bulbs??
