I am customizing my '82 Virago and I want to chop the pipes to get rid of the big cone mufflers.  I know that I will lose performance, but I am obviously not riding it for speed.  Will that wreck anything?

I know technically you are supposed to re-jet the carbs but what if I dont?  Thanks.  

Yeah I too have been thinking about the same thing and I could use some info on how to do what ever is nessary. Thanks in advance
