just recently bought a v65 I heard that they had trouble with valve oiling. It is running fine wondering if there is anything to watch out for to keep it from having any valve issues

I have a '82 v45 Sabre. Same rumored troubles. The consensus is that you will not have to worry about it. If it does occur, then you fix it (when you fix the front cam shaft.) You will spend as much time trying to prevent the problem (should it actually occur) as you will to fix the symptoms 30,000 miles down the line.

The v65 is a sweet engine. Enjoy!  

Another point I have read is that the engine will still run well with the pitted cams.
