My husband spoke to a fella this weekend that said he had a Big Bore kit put on his C50 that boosted it from an 800cc to an 1100cc.  We have not been able to locate anything and the dealer where we bought the bike had not heard of it.  Can anyone out there give us any guidance?

Your Suzuki dealer has it in stock.  It's called a C90.  Just kidding (and yes, I know the C90 is actually about 1500 cc).  But seriously, I have a C50 myself and I cannot conceive why you would want to make such a change.  If you could get this change done for much less than the additional cost of the C90, I would be surprised, and apt to give you lots of trouble (unless you own a motorcycle dealership).  My C50 is plenty fast even with two aboard, as long as you open the throttle.  If you really want fast, buy a sportbike.

We are not looking for "speed"!  We were curious about the cost to boost the engine.  We love our bike but would like to be able to pull a trailer (for extra storage).  It is not recommended that a trailer be pulled with an 800cc bike.

HI; Here is what you need it is a C90 rear end. There is a guy making them for about 450-475 +freight. It works great.   It slows the engine rpm down by about 10%. The need to shift once in 5th goes away. Also the vibration goes away.   The c90 rear is stout enought to pull anything.  I have C50T and have been talking to the guy. That is what he said about towing. I have read most of what all who have bought one and no one says anything bad about it. So go to voluisarider.com and look up the DJ drive or the C90 drive. I am getting ready to buy one.. scruffy..Hope this helps you.   I have not heard of a big bore kit for a C50. I don't think you can bore out the cylinders because thy are not very thick. NO cams are made other than stock I have looked.. :..scruffy
