Will try to make this short, took rider safety course and on last day struggled in 1st gear u-turn lost all confidence thought maybe this isn't for me 58 years old, after much thought wound up buying a 2005 Road King with a Voyager convertible kit, everyone is telling me that within six months to a year I will remove this kit any thoughts. Also can someone explain lane sharing can't seem to get the answer to this. Thanks

you get more confidence with more miles. and i would think the voyager would be a great idea to keep. it hooks up fast and will make the long trips more enjoyable. are you asking about lane splitting when you say lane sharing? if so thats where a bike can go between 2 cars that are side by side.......
if the house is a rocking don't bother knocking, just come on in...SRV

I'm not sure if this is the answer that you ar looking for but, I believe in some States it is permited to ride side by side in a single lane. In states such as NJ, Motorcyclist are not permited to ride side by side, but must be off set in a single lane.

I believe in Tennessee you can ride no more than two side by side in a single lane (lane sharing) Riding between two cars in a lane (lane splitting) is illegal. As far as the bike and the kit, ride whatever moves you. The important thing is that you ride.

Swampfox I can't provide any info on the Voyager kit but lane sharing is illegal here in Texas. Riders must ride in a staggered formation or in single file. They are permitted to stop at red lights and stop signs side by side but must reform into either of the two positionings upon restarting. I am glad that you didn't give up on riding after your experience in the rider safety course. Everybody has their own time table when it comes to feeling confident on a bike. Enjoy riding!!
