I'm on my way to being an oldster (not quite gray enough yet)  who's ridden since I was a kid.  I just acquired 07 Yamaha Virago 250.  This is an outstanding commuter bike.  It cruises at 65 without straining.  It's torque rolls on with the throttle.  It does need a windshield at speeds over 40mph.  I would love to see Yamaha offer a V-Star 250 Commute edition, with bags, windshield, and full face helmet in the deal.  This bike is too small for the big guys but it works for the rest of us.

Conclusion: For many riders this ride will meet all there needs.  It's not a cross country tourer but it would do it if asked.  Excels around town and ok for general freeway use.
