Would anyone know if main beam/headlight on C50 (and any other bike for that matter)is different for an American bike compared to same European model? As you well know, cars manufactured for the UK market have their headlights showing more of the left side of the road in order not to blind out the oncoming traffic. This is the reverse for cars manufactured for the Continental European market as they drive on the right handside of the road. Are motorbike simply showing a bean straight ahead or what ??????

American market bikes have headlights that shine uniformly to both sides, with a sharp cutoff along the top edge of the low beam. Deflection to the side of the road is accomplished by adjusting the headlight. As far as I know, the requirement to deflect the low beam to the edge of the road only applies to automobiles and trucks, not motorcycles. In any event, in 40 years of riding, I have never had my headlight deflected away from straight ahead.
The actual bulbs may be different in the two markets, though, on the basis of the difference between the brightness of the low beam when compared to the high beam. I recall someone telling me that was why he changed the headlight bulb when he bought a bike in germany, then brought it back to the U.S.

This sounds like goods news and common sense to me. If I only have to purchase a different wattage bulb, that's fine with me. Did not really fancy buying a new headlight system in order to make it "road friendly" in the UK. Many thanks Joe.
