Hi- I have a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ750J that seems to have the front disc brakes hanging up. The bike goes forward well but I have to put my full weight onto the bike to back it up. Decided to just service the calipers. Replaced the piston ( which were minorly rust pitted) and the seals. Able to replace the parts ok but not sure what the final repair should "look" like. The part I'm concerned about is hou east the caliper should be floating on the slider pins. I used a white lithium grease on the pins but the caliper still requires alot of effort to make it move. Is this the way it should be? Any other tips before I bolt the calipers back on? Thanks-

Hey- Obviously didn't get much of a response ( lots of lookers...no replies). Took my chances was able to repair the calipers and they seem to be working fine. I've searched for repair forums all over the web and there doesn't seem to be adequate responses to any of them. I guess you get what you pay for ,eh? Thanks for the opportunity to post my problem tho'.
