I recently purchased a Nolan N-42 only to find the noise level, when the face shield is in it's final down position, to be the noisiest helmet I have ever had on my head. It is so noisy that even commercial ear plugs only help a little ***
I spoke with a representative of the helmet company who acknowledged the sound problem, but blamed it on my seating position and/or the bike's wind shield.
Well, I think it's the engineering of the helmet. First, there is only one vent hole. That is in the front of the helmet leaving no where for the access sound to go except around your head.
I can not believe that I am the only one to experience this noise factor from this "upscale" helmet manufacturer. Have you? Have you found anything that may help? If so, please write to me at rob483210@yahoo.com.
Thanks
