help-
purchased a new 2007 honda shadow 1100- at 560 mile had bike serviced at dealer . Bike ran fine for 100 mile then died . took to pur chasing dealer , was told bike had bad gasket or casting problems that casued valves and other damage . dealer to fix ? trying to get honda to replace bike . how does readers feel . looked into lemon laws , honda get 2 chances before replacing. bike has been in shop 2 weeks as some parts are b/o .
had several bikes that were hondas and no problem. just bumed....

Bad bikes do happen. I was at the dealership getting the GPS installed, and someone I knew was in there. She'd just bought a replacement Burgman 650 scooter, the 1st one had a lot of flawless miles on it. She got all of 15 miles before it flaked out. You couldn't get that bike faster than 25mph unless you towed it.
They put the computer on it, and basically the engine was shot (day 1). Unfortunately, she also ended up in the wait for parts routine.
