I'm putting my beloved '02 Honda Magna 750 (a black & chrome beauty in mint condition) up for sale so I can buy a larger frame cruiser for 2-up riding. But my head is reeling from all the choices out there! I think I want a V-Star 1100, then I change my mind and decide on a Shadow Sabre 1100. My budget is going to be around $4,800 - 5,200. The Suzuki Boulevard 800 seems like a great bike, but is it going to be good for 2-up touring? I'm just under 5'10" and 175 lbs, and my passenger is around 5'8" and 165 lbs.
Of course, I want a reliable bike. And I want comfortable seats for me and my passenger, power enough to tour around in the mountains, but good gas mileage on the highway in the flatlands (maybe 48-50 MPG). Is there a bike that fits the bill for me? My brain is spinning after days of reading reviews, comparisons, etc. Help!!! Mel

Hi Rainbowrider,I am roughly your height my wife is 5'-6" our bike is a boulevard C50T has the good gas mileage plenty of power for the hill's, last almost two years 49,000k's and no complaints..
I did lower the pillion pegs for wife for more comfort went down 1 and a half inches and forward almost the same made a huge difference in comfort over the longer trips up to a 1000k,s in a day..we enjoy our ride..go to motorcyclecruiser.com and read reveiw on the Suzuki C50T or the Volusia they are the same bike different logos...Take care with your wife on the back...Cheers

Gracias. Know a guy who just both the M50. Really likes it. I'm considering keeping my Magna (I had the carbs jetted and the high performance 4-cylinder engine is unbelievablly powerful...85HP.) Just need to put a Mustang Gunfighter and Lady seat on for more passenger comfort. Already have driver and passenger Cobra floorboards that are way more comfortable than pegs. Still thinking....
