Been riding my whole life and I'm not young, but I have no idea what slip ons are and I possibly need pipes. I have a Magna that one of the top pipes is spot rusting, once that *** starts it just don't stop so........
I'm either going to sell the bike and replace it whenever I can or keep it and add new pipes. The bike is a 94 Magna VF750 which I like a lot, it's that candy red with a little Targa fairing and a Corbin flamed gunfighter seat.
This is a good around town ride, especially for short people with an affinity for the throttle albeit worthless on long trips unless you have a gas station every 115 miles
Any suggestions?
PS: the pipes are still in good enough shape that most of today's Sunday riders wouldn't notice the pipes if and when I sell it, so I'll still get top dollar. (at least for awhile)
Thanks

Ya, I just now joined the forum, and it seems pretty dead here actually. My understanding of slip on's are they are just to upgrade your look and sound, maybe performance, without having to retune, and or, rebuild your carbs. Oposed to a whole new exhaust system where you would have to all of it.
Ride safe my friend ...

Slip-ons are mufflers, plain and simple. They slip on to your stock headers. So if it's your headers that are rusting, slip-ons are not the answer.
