I would be interested in a passanger armrest for my honda VTX 1300 Retro with Neo-retro Back rest and luggage carrier. Please send pics to mvoegeli@aol.com, and let me know if it is available.

Jam1775: I'm new to the forum....new Boulvard owner. My wife would like me to ger her aftermarket arm rests for my Boulevard. Could anyone suggest what has worked and looks okay ?
Hi JAM 1775, Congratulations on your new bike! FYI, we manufacture a super-comfortable motorcycle armrest called Love Handles™. Our armrest fits the C90 and other Suzukis perfectly.
After three years of looking for an armrest for our Fatboy, we gave up and designed one ourselves, and have been perfecting the product for 5 years.
Our armrest is made of top quality materials (aircraft grade aluminum, moly-chromed steel, all chrome fasteners, comfortable arm pads) here in the USA.
Love Handles™ detaches in about 15 seconds and converts to a luggage carrier by pivoting 180 degrees. Our 50 lb. spring catch and stainless steel detent system holds each armrest firmly in place, giving your rider a feeling of security and comfort, but a simple but firm push/pull outward releases the armrest for easy of mounting & dismounting.
My wife, Mary, may be a bit biased, but she won't ride without them - She even suggested a 1500 mile ride, which blew my mind!
Here's our website: http://www.getlovehandles.com
If you have any questions, please call Bill at 505.896.3330.

abqrider and others thanks for your response. If I may offer a cautious alert. Late last season I purchased Universal Armrests manufacured by Custom World. To the best of my knowledge, they were the only universal armrest out there at that time . For some reason I cannot post a photo on this reply however I paid $240 for these armrests . I slightly modified the tops replacing the big black plastic turn knobs with large chrome acorn nuts. The big black knobs made the armrests look like a wheelchair part. Since the install I had received no less than 25+ compliments on the armrests from passers-by and many positive comments from fellow Blue Knight Motorcycle Club members.
Well...hold back on the compliments folks..... My wife, who weighs 130lbs rode on the bike 3X with the Custom World armrests. Without a passenger I may have incurred 2000 miles since then. This past August weekend while riding alone the left armrest SNAPPED OFF !. The design makes for two large bolts per side at the base of my C90T passenger seat. From that base the armrest vertical support flares out approx 2" from the seat as it rises to passenger elbow height. I've often noticed both pads "vibrating" as I rode which required regular re-torquing of the 2 large base bolts on each side. Guess what ? When it comes to steel that is NOT supported for a 12" length vibration wins .....steel loses. The left armrest SNAPPED OFF somewhere on a mountain road, again no passenger, never to be found again. The break point ?? Approx 1" and 2 inches above the flattened base bolt mounting plate just before it rounds to tube shape, as the base mount flares out away from the seat frame.
$240 investment gone due to poor product design within 2000 miles ! I've yet to contact the vendor until tomorrow, Monday morning. I'd love to get in touch with Custom World directly. No doubt a "cross member" bracket is required between the 12" vertical armrest bar and the seat frame support to prevent vibration while riding. If I can I will post photos .
Lucky for me the 12" steel bar plus armrest pad did not hit the bike after snapping off. If I cannot get a replacement from the vendor and somehow fabricate a cross member support bracket I will defintitely consider the "love handles". Thank God my wide was NOT on the bike !!

I contacted the vendor who directly referred me to Custom Worlds Accessories in Canada. They advised the one year warranty had expired (purchased June'08) but they would call me back discuss possible alternatives . Will advise.

Custom World called me back and advised they will be sending me a NEW left side armrest ASAP. They stated that over the years they never had a returned armrest, customer complaint or reported flaw. Big kudos and thanks to Custom World for standing by their product.....can't ask for more than that !
