Hey, i'm new to riding but not new to bikes. My smaller buddies are pocket rocket fans. Anyway, i've done alot of searching for recomendations for cruisers for "big people". Unfortunatley, after the 30th post of "I'm big" actually being 6' something, 250lbs. I got tired and decided to make a post of my own. So here goes, I am 6'4 375lbs. I'm a BIG 'ol fella. I have my share of muscle but i'm deffinatley packing the muffin top. Anyway, I have been eyein the Vulcan 900. Do you experienced riders think I could ride it with out bottomin out the suspension? Would the bike be able to withstand haulin' extra ass.. lol. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, William.

Hey big man, a buddy of mine from Missouri meets me every year in the Blue Ridge for a week of riding. He is 6'1 365, The first time we meet he came riding up on a 98 Honda 750 shadow. I was on a 1500 Kawasaki Drifter. We started our trip and I watched him move that bike like all of the rest of us. At times it sounded a little asperated. But he kept up everywhere we went. I then offered to let him ride my bike for a few miles. He loved it. I thought I would have to fight him to get my bike back. The very next year he road up on a Nomad and now has over 75,000 on it. Yes the 900 hundred will pull you, but you will look like you are riding a mini bike at a distance. Kinda like me at 5'8 220 riding a 50cc scooter. You really need something you can stretch out on. 1300 or bigger. Wag out!

Thanks Wag, although i have a feeling the "bear riding a unicycle look" is what i'll have going for me, will my lack of experience be worth the cost of looking funny if I get a bigger cc bike? But I digress, the bottom line is, will I spend most of my time hitting the bottom of my shocks and go through tires like no tomorrow. Hell, the GVWR is usally around 400 pounds. Thanks in advance.

On to the main event. I'm 6' 240 lb. I think I qualify.
I got an 1800 GW. You have to slap butt on a lot of seats.
It's the only way to find what fits.

the vulcan 900 would not be a good choice. it's maximum load including passenger and luggage is 375 lbs. you are at that limit.
