I currently ride an '07 Boulevard M50 and absolutely love this bike but have one small issue: after about 1 to 1 1/2 hours of riding I get some upper back/neck pain from the reach of the handlebar position. I should say I'm 6'0 (34" inseam) with over a 6' wingspan so I'm not tiny.
I'm looking at upgrading to a Victory Vegas or Kingpin in the future (spending a lot of time riding 2 up on longer hauls in addition to the local cruises) and wanted to know if any Victory riders had this issue at all? Has anyone needed to option for the 2" pullback bars? The only other bike I have thought about looking into because I love the style is the Yamaha Raider, but I think I would run into the same issue with the ergonomics on longer hauls. (if they only made a bad-*** looking bike that was comfortable on longer rides)
Any thoughts would be great.

HI; Have you thought about getting a set of risers 4in high with a 2-3in. pull back? I had to get me a set. Cost 100$ It was a big differance in the back pain. I have a C50T 05. So far it has been the best all roung bike I have had to date. I have a friend that just installed new bar on his Harley and his back and neck stopped bothering him. Handle bars are not that expensive his were about 55$. He installed them. It only took about 2-3 hrs. Hopes this helps. scruffy

Thanks Scruffy. I have talked to the dealer and I may go that route if I keep the bike for a while....I'd actully love to keep the M50 as a 2nd bike, but the wife won't go for that. One thing I learned is that the M50 bars are set up a lot different than those on the C50 so I would have to look at what will work. I have also thought about switching to the C50 bars as they have a very nice pull back. If I do move to a bigger bike I want to make sure I get the right feel from the very beginning.

I have a kingpin tour. I use to have a shadow ACE a few years back which I think would be comparable to your m50 in riding position. I could not ride that bike for more then 1/2 an hour before I would have to stop because of the pain I would get in my back. I dont have those problems with my kingpin. But to be fair the kingpin has a windshield and the shadow did not. If the kingpin didnt have the windshield I might have the same problem. I rode the kingpin on a SS1000 a few months back, we did a 1000 miles in less then 16 hours and had no back pain, but the seat is a 400 mile seat, especially when your not taking any extended breaks.
The victory is a large bike, a much larger feel then the hd roadking I was looking at also. Im 6ft and 240lbs and the reach to the bars are not a long reach and have a good bend and are comfortable for me.
