I'm looking at getting a hypercharger but i don't know which is going to give me the better performance. The Pro-series or the Pro-R series from Kuryakyn.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depends what bike it's for. I fitted a pro series on my VN2000 and with a one-off stainless exhaust and power commander the dyno says 112bhp at 4800rpm (stock is 95 ponies)and 131 ft-lb at 2750 rpm. From what I can see there's probably no effective difference between the Pro and Pro-R, performancewise. With any Hypercharger the most noticeable benefit is smoother and better low down torque, which is surely what cruiser performance is all about.

It also depends on your exhaust pipes.  If you keep your stock pipes you really don't gain much.  Your engine can't suck in more air if the exhaust can't push more air out.  If you're going for the best performance you need one of the two Hyperchargers and a full set of pipes.  You need to do both at the same time to avoid having to rejet the carbs twice.  The money you save on the rejetting the 2nd time almost pays for the new pipes.

Ask the website owners in their contact link, and remember, to get any benefit from the hypercharger to change to an open free flowing exaust, and to rejet the carb, or it will give you no benefit.
