I don't fit your profile (I don't own a Victory), but I'd love to give you some input. Your questions have the feel of marketing research on behalf of either Victory or a Victory dealership. Perhaps I'm wrong? As a marketer myself I respect the difficulty in doing market research as most people are violently opposed to participating and yet complain vehemently when companies can't read their minds.
* Victory makes GORGEOUS bikes. I love the Vegas bikes. 8 Ball, Jackpot, really anything with a fat rear tire and unique styling.
* I would never buy a Harley. They are phenomenally expensive, ridiculously unreliable, and laughably underpowered. Even if I was riding for the sake of a beauty pageant like most HD riders, I still wouldn't, as Victory makes more interesting bikes.
* I am partial to Japanese bikes. I speak Japanese and have spent time in Japan. The quality ethic that is a nearly universal standard in Japan is so much more impressive than most American corporations. However, I would consider a Victory. They are the only American bikes that interest me. BUT THEY ARE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. I understand that I am not the target market. Again, as a marketing professional I fully appreciate that fact. But even with the import tariffs, around-the-world shipping costs, and top notch engineering and quality control (the Japanese invented many of the quality control methods used in some American factories) I can still buy a couple of fantastic Japanese bikes for the price of a single Victory. Don't confuse this with the Hyosung/Tank/whatever Korean and Chinese knockoffs. You can get a couple of those for the price of a Honda or Suzuki.
The fact is that most riders like to customize their bikes. But the price of a Victory leaves a much smaller budget for customizing than does a VTX or M109 or similar.
If I could change anything about Victory it would be to make the entry price more affordable in order to extend the brand name, while encouraging upgrades with a huge catalog of accessories. Make the money on the customizing, not on the initial purchase.

1) How long have you been riding motorcycles in general? How long have you been riding a Victory motorcycle specifically? 20yrs, I have owned my Jackpot for a year now.
2) Are you a first generation cruiser rider or did your parents or grandparents ride cruisers? I am the first.
3) What do you like about your Victory motorcycle? a) Performance (engine, horse power etc) Enjoy the horse power but love the torque. b) styling (the way it looks) Love the look of the look that what got me in. c) price. I picked up my Jackpot for $16500, but you get what you pay for. d) other. Low cost of maintenance, you change the oil every 2500 miles and it keeps running without problems. 4) Is your motorcycle your primary means of transportation? (Or do you own a car as well?) I ride each day to work and on the weekend but I also own a truck.
5) On an average, how many miles do you ride per month? 500-1000
6) Are you Male or Female? Male
7) What is your age range? 35-50 yrs old
8) What is your income range? 75-100
9) Do you belong to a Motorcycle related group? Yes.
10) Was your most recent bike purchase new or used? All my bikes have been new.
11) If you could change 1 thing about Victory motorcycles, what would it be? Can't think of anything.
12) Would you ever buy a Harley Davidson? Perhaps but they love their bikes, parts, service, and their interest rate is to high. I think the HD is a nice bike but I don't like the persona that comes with a HD.
