vulcan 900 classic lt,when in third gear,holding a steady speed of 35, for a little bit, roll the throtle wide open and won't go sounds like some one shoved something your exaust until it hits 55mp then comes unglued? thats the only gear it does it in, there is 4 other that have the same problem,any answers?

If it won't go, how does it get from 35 to 55? What does it mean to "come unglued?" Does the bike rattle and shake and parts fall off?
