Hello! I was wondering if there are any members from Jersey who could point me to a motorcycle code for the state.

I bought some LED's and I'm seeing that a bunch of LED's from different sites (no matter the type) are not DOT approved and are for "show or off road use only". The thing is, I see some bikes with LED's (but that's in Pennsylvania) and I can't locate anything that allows for LED's (or any other aux lighting, for that matter). Is the disclaimer their way of getting out of any liability or is this a legit thing?

Can anyone help?

We live in NJ. Give our state assembly a month or two and
as usual anything you add to your vehicle, that is not stock, will most likely become illegal. It's the price we pay for living in a state that is going to ban Segway use on anything but private property. Sometimes I think our law makers have nothing better to due. By the way alot of the LEDs can be blinding at night or considered a distraction. As far as I know there is a law banning their use yet. I know that the Euro Style Headlights are or will be banned. License plate frames as well are also being targeted. I would think the best place to check would be the NJMVA.
