Hi guys, i'm Ruth from the UK! I'm 4ft 8 and i have serious trouble with bikes being so short!

When i have completed me test, i am wondering what bike i can get, I've sat on quite a few viargo 553, dragstar 650, harleys e.t.c i can only just touch the floor on them and they are FAR to heavy for me! so my thoughts are coming round to a custom

I have previuosly had a Suzuki intruder 125 and had no problems with this! So what would it take to but a bigger engine in to the intruder frame, I believe strengthen, brakes and suspension upgrade, but what else would i need to do and what engine would be suitable!
I appreciate you help in advance

Thanks
Ruth x

Ruth, I am a short arse myself (5'6") and like you, there are few bikes I feel comfortable on. I have owned both the STAR 650 & 1100 and I know there are lowering kits available for these. I do not know if the RIDLEY motorcycles are avaiable in the UK, but the seat on those bike are among the lowest around (the Ridley uses an automatic trans - no shifting). I have been riding ~ 6 yeas now (when I turned 40), all my bikes have been STAR brand bikes starting with that 650. I now ride a Stratoliner and love it! Ruth, whatever you wind up getting, just make sure you are comfotable & confident with it and you will enjoy it and we will be glad to have you as a fellow biker!
