Im a 5'5" weigh 265 pounds and wanting to get into motorcycling gonna be taking class's soon and was curious on what would be the best bike to get to have good power for my weight for local cruising and long distance road trips. Thanks for any help.  

I would suggest anything 900cc and above. Make sure the bike fits you. In other words, sit on the bike and see if it feels comfortable to you. If you will be riding double, I wouldn't get anything under 1300cc. Good luck with your class, always ride safe, and welcome to the wonderful world of motorcycles.
