I have a 99 Valk Interstate that I bought new and have 52K miles on it.  I'm getting a little tired of the leg positiion caused by the flat 6 engine, but I love the power and performance of it.

I'm considering a new Yamaha Venture with the V-4 engine.  I like the looks and accessories, but wonder whether the performance will be anything like the Valk.  Any opinion?

I would go to an event which offers demo rides, and take the venture for a ride.
I visit vintage motorcycle days locally, and you can learn a great deal about each motorcycle with a short ride.

Every bike has a different feel,it depends a lot on your height and build.
The venture is not going to keep up with the Valk in terms of performance though.
