Looking for some advice; I purchased a 2005 Vulcan Nomad 1600 D-1 and just did the oil change.  The previous owner had a K&N 204 oil filter instead of the OEM.  A service manager just told me that one of the common problems with a K&N oil filter is a complete engine rebuild.  Has anyone else had this problem with a K&N oil filter?
