I am looking to purchase a new bike in the next 30 days and am working on narrowing my choices down.  I have the opportunity to pick up a 2007 Road King for a good price.  However, I was chcking out a couple of other models and started looking at the Electra Glide.  It seems to have more features and costs less.  I like to look of the RK (it does not have the batwing fairing) a little better, but it would not hurt my feelings to ride the EG either.  Anybody have experience with either of these two bikes?  

Here's my take. I've done a demo(20 mi) on a RK, and it was competent, but, not stellar(I liked the Nomad better for acceleration, and comfort --- 1340 vs 1600). The particular bike I picked was a classic (soft bags).  Based on my Yamaha Tour Deluxe/ Royal Star comparison in the same day. I'd say the full Dresser is going to have more weight up high (passenger, trunk)
If you like the RK looks/ simple side bags, look at the Road Glide. Same bike, but with fairings,not a windshield.
