HI; Take it back to the dealer and have them check it out. It is under warrenty still. Get them to document it and if any thing happens you will have it written down at the dealer. Have you changed oil yet. Most new bikes need the oil changed after about 600-800 miles. The break in oil is full of material from the new engine. Get a filter and 3-4 qt's oil. Once you get rid of the dirty oil the lifters may stop making noise.. scruffy..

thanks for the tip, i did change the oil at 600 miles then at 1100, no change, so i will take the advise, go to the dealer and document things, for future reference.

Vulcan engines are noisy in general, mostly depending on the oil you use, the RPM's your at and or the speed your going. I would definitly take it to the dealer and have it looked at and make sure EVERYTHING is documented. Also, check out http://www.vroc.org/ for lots of Vulcan info.

vulcan2000 super tough, i was on my way back from south florida to orlando on highway 27, when a deer jump out right in front of me, i was doiing 65 mph, so i hit him square in the shoulders, his body flung around the left side of the bike, hitting my left leg and then hitting my wifes leg cutting her open the bike shook i held on, drove myself to the hospital, i have a broken ankle, and my wife has abroken ankle and needed 14 stiches, the bike has a bent fender and the chrome part of the forks got bent and my right fog light cracked, but thats it, tough bike. 2007 vulcans are toughfer than 150 pound deers. guess i was real lucky. Dan the vulcan man.
