For those of you who thinks that a 3 wheels bike looks cool,First off it's completely cheating!! in case you don't want to confess or to admit that you're not capable of handling a real bike, and to ride a trike like a car missing a wheel might as well to stick driving a car or stay away from the two wheelers making us look ridiculous, By the way can somebody come up with some kind of training wheels for these guys?

Many years ago as a teenage I owned/drove a Cadillac when the other kids were driving Fords and Chevys. I not only could out drag most of them but I rode in extreme comfort. They still laughed. Now I ride a 08 Goldwing with a Lehman trike kit. I ride it for the same reason I drove the Cadillac. Go ahead and laugh. I've always known that there are the haves and the have-nots.

It's really disappointing when folks start bashing others who wish to continue riding, but want/need a trike. For some folks, age is creeping up or arthritis (or some injury) is setting in, but they don't want to give up the thrill or the freedom of riding their motorcycle.
I suspect the original poster is a young fella with lots of vim and vigor. I'm happy for him. But give us older guys who still work hard for a living and enjoy life and our motorcycles a break. We enjoy riding just as you do. We might even be riding with you (or you with us) one of these days.
Take care and Ride Safe!

It doesn't matter what you ride, as long as you ride.

I agree with MGMShadow. All you have to do is look at the smile on the trike riders face and you know he's having just as much fun as you are on your two wheeler. I don't know why this guy decided he wanted a trike, I don't really care. He's enjoying it and that's all that counts.

Just this last winter I put a voyager kit on a VTX 1300 Honda for my brother-in-law. I also added the Pingel Electric shift kit. He is paralized from the waist down. I am glad that they make trike's and kits like the Voyager. After 28 years he can now get on his bike and ride. I don,t care what reason someone wants to own a trike, I am just glad they make them.

My husband rides a trike. He was stricken with Multiple Sclerosis and riding a traditional two wheel motorcycle was no longer an option. I'm so thankful that trikes are available. His trike allows him to continue to ride, something he loves so much, and enjoy the fellowship of other riders. I pray that you never have to experience anything that will prohibit you from riding your bike. In the meantime, you might not be so judgemental. Bikers are a special community that we have found to be nothing but supportive. I understand why you call yourself the "lonewolf"

If it's got handlebars and no doors I don't care what anybody says I'm glad your riding. I'd rather ride with some of the people I know on trikes than the sportbikers riding the back tire trying to look cool anyday.
Have fun but be safe.

hey lonewolf6, sorry you feel that way, but it is ok i guess. i am a 100% disabled combat vietnam vet . i have a hard time getting around now, but i descided last fall i was going to get me a motorcycle ( my wife of 42 years thinks i am nuts). the last time i was wounded in rvn i told myself i would buy me the biggest H-D i could find. it took me 40+ years to do it and it was not easy. i took the course, got my license, bought a 2008 hertiage soft tail classic 105th edition. i think it is beautiful, but i have a really hard time riding it. the riding is great and i wish to continue, but being the macho man i think am it is hard for me to think i need to get a trike, but i see it in my future. i am going to ride this one as long as i can. the men & women i ride with don't care what anyone rides,as long as they ride. there are a couple of vietnam vets riding trikes now and no one notices them except to admire there rides. so "dude" "get over it" go ride by your self.

I'm a 52 year old woman who wants a trike.. I've always wanted to ride a bike..but, being only 5 foot tall, I figured I'd never be able to learn how to ride a 2 wheeler.. What's so wrong with a trike? They are the machines that catch my eye when I see them on the road.
Don't spoil it for me, man.. let me dream! Maybe even live my dream.
