I don't know if I can help you or not.  I own a '99 Victory V92C and also found the stock seat a little thin for longer rides.  I love my Mustang seat, however.  But since you've had a Mustang and didn't like it I doubt much will change about that.

I've read these opinions a hundred times on forums like this and from what I see it comes down to the rider's personal tastes.  I've read where some love Vic's touring seat where others say they are no better than stock.  Some say Corbins are too hard and others swear by them.  Same goes for Mustangs.

Probably the best advice I've heard is to find a custom upholsterer or seat maker and have them make you a seat with the shape and padding you like using your stock seat pan.  Or if you have the time, you could order a Vic Tourer, Corbin, and Mustang one at a time and return them until you find the one you like.  That would be time consuming and a PITA, though.

I have an 07 kingpin tour, I beleave it is the same seat as yours but not 100% sure, if its not and the tour comes with the seat your looking at I would look at somthing else. I did a ss1000 on mine and after 400 miles it was a torture rack. Im looking in to replacing it with a mustang seat. Had a corbin on my last bike. I wasnt 100% satisfied with it even though the seat was well made. The mustang seat seems to be the number one choice for this bike. Im just going to roll the dice and hope I like it.

Hope the Mustang works for you. I'm on bike #60, a 2002 V92C and I've tried the stock, Vic Touring and Mustang seats but none work for me. Over the years I've had Corbins, Sargents, Mayers and several custom seats on other bikes. Virtually all of them were far better than stock but I actually found the Mustang to be as bad or worse than stock Vic unit. You really can't move around much, it doesn't support my legs correctly and my rear is dead at 100 mi. I am suprised that no Iowa, MN or WI upholsterer has keyed in on this as a great way to expand their business. There are a lot of Vics up here but I haven't found anyone that wants to be the go-to seat guy. I'm going custom again and will roll the dice.

While Saddlemen doesn't make a seat for the Victory, they can take any seat you have and install Gel  in it to make it more comfortable.  They can also shape it for you while installing the gel.  See www.saddlemen.com.
