Southeastern Ohio, from I-70 on the north, to I-71 on the west, and the Ohio River on the east and south, offer some of the best roads in the nation to ride. One of my favorite is SR800 south to SR148 south, to SR7 north, to SR 151 north. The scenry is absolutely beautiful. The roads are maintained with many curves and hills. Watch the curve signs and suggested speed plaques. They will help you determine what speed to maintain when going aroung the curves. If the suggested speed is 40 or greater, you can safely ride at 55. If the suggested speed is 30 to 35, slow down to 40 or 45. If the suggested speed is 25 or less, SLOW DOWN to the suggested speed or slower. The majority of the roads can be rode at 55 with no problem. There's plenty of historic sites to visit and SR 26 east from Marrietta has 7 covered bridges to see. Gas and food can be found around the larger cities and one tank of gas will leave you never wanting either. The Motorcycle Memorial can be found in Hopedale, Ohio. Hopedale is on SR151, just south of US 22. It's a great place to visit and fun to ride too.

you are so right. i live in the youngstown area and often head down to the area you mention. it is really a joy to ride this part of ohio. the roads are in great shape and scenery is tops. to the west is hocking state park, which offers terrain that looks as though it belongs in a state other than ohio. anyone who rides in this area finds they will return.
