I too want to say hello to all the motorcycle lovers out there, I'm a MANY year rider from Montana that grew up on motorcycles as I grew up ona farm, and used them to irrigate the crops in summer, started riding when I was 10 years old. Got my first roadbike when I was 16, a mid 70's Honda XL125 Enduro. My next bike was a Yamaha 400 special twin. Man I loved that bike. then I went for 5 years without a bike s the younguns started coming and money was for diapers, not gas. Then I got a Honda CB750-4 that changed my views on biking for good. Now I'm the proud owner of a 2007 Honda VLX600 Shadow Deluxe that I bought new May 2008, and as of Today, Nov.21st I have put over 12500 miles on her, and she is now torn down so I can paint the fins matt black and beef up the carb and some other power upgrades, I have already removed the baffles from the pipes, and changed the air intake to one with no resistance, but still uses the same airfilter. after I get the engine painted and the bike back together, she is going to a Honda Mechanics personal garage to get the power output increased by 25-35%, and also to have a custom rack made for where the passenger pillion seat WAS, so I can tour the western USA next summer. I just had my right hip replaced with a titanium one, so my 475LB shadow is the heavyist bike that I can have per doctors orders. If you want to chat about bikes and/or customizing them, then email me at glenn.merideth@gmail.com and I will respond and even send pics of my progress with my VLX Shadow. If you want to see what it looks like original then do a google image search for a 2007 Honda VLX 600 deluxe. At first you will know what bike it is a copy of. And even though it doesn't look it, it is liquid cooled, 583cc, wide ratio 4 speed, chain drive, hardtail looking monoshock rear suspension, and the engine is covered in chrome.(except for the fake cooling fins, which are rough aluminum and that's why I'm painting them matt black) Remember, if you want to talk bikes, email me, as I have spent the entire past 18 months waiting for my new hip just reading about motorcycles and since may first, riding my vLX and still reading about the others.

I'm a new guy to the forum too, but not to biking. I got my first bike when I was 11yrs old. It was a Suzuki TS100. I rode the heck out of it. That was my first new bike. I had used ones off and on over the years. I started riding 4wheelers in 2002 and I now have a Yamaha Grizzly 700 and Yamaha Rhino 700, neither one is stock. I just bought my second new 2 wheel bike yesterday. It is a 2008 Suzuki C109RT. I haven't been on a 2 wheeler in 15yrs, but I never forgot how to ride. It rides like a cadillac too.
