Hi,
i have a kawasaki zxr -600 on a 99 plate.  I have a problem with changing gears.  When i change gear from first, the gears stiffen and i find it very difficult to get into next gear.  As i am a girl (and yes i have to play on that!!!) i know absolutely nothing about the maintenance of bikes as yet!  I was wondering if there was someone out there that could give me a bit advice, like do the gears need oil and if so where does it go!! would be grateful for any help.  Thanks in advance!  

HI;When is the last time you checked the oil ? All engine and transmissions need it. When it gets dirty it can get hard to shift. Have you lubed the shifter at the piviot shaft ever?  
1st. change the oil .
2nd lube the shaft. just a shot of WD will do for starters.
3rd get a service manual. Once you have one you can fix most anything your self.... ..scruffy..
